 Elena Ignovska is a Docent (Assistant Professor) at the Faculty of Law Iustinianus Primus, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje at the department of Civil Law. She conducts several courses: Family law and Inheritance Law(at bachelor level), and Contemporary Systems of Inheritance, European Family Law, Sociology of Family, The New Reproductive Technologies and the Law (at master level).

Education:

Ghent University, doctoral research at the department of Civil law under supervision of ProfessorGerdVerschelden and as a scholar of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2011-2014. The PhD thesis is entitled: Affiliation of Children Conceived by Sperm Donation to Single Women: the (Im)possibility to Establish Fatherhood from an International Perspective with a Focus on the Republic of Macedonia. The public defence took place at Ghent University, Belgium on 01.09.2014.
Faculty of Law – Iustinianus Primus, Skopje, magister in Civil Law (GPA 9,6 out of 10), 2006-2010. The thesis is entitled The New Reproductive Technologies and the Parental Obligations, supervised by Professor Dejan Mickovik and defended publicly on 1.4.2010.
Catholic University Leuven, Belgium; Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands) and University of Padua (Italy), joint master degree in Bioethics as a scholar of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, 2008-2009. The master thesis is entitled The Value of Life of the Embryo. Observed from Two Different Lenses: From its Own Potential to Develop and from the Context in which is Embedded, supervised by prof. Kris Dierickx and publicly defended on 29.06.2009 at the University of Padua, Italy.
Faculty of Law, University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, F.Y.R. Macedonia, graduated jurist (GPA 9,4 out of 10, awarded as one of the three best students of the generation), 2000-2004.
Medical School (high school), Dr. Panche Karagjozov, Skopje, dental technician.1996-2000.
